Meet our WHEN authors below. We love partnering with writers from our community to bring you content that is rooted in Scripture and paired with each writer’s unique life experience. If you’re looking to write an article for us, submit your pitch here.

Meet Our Authors

Meet the writers we’ve partnered with and click on their names to navigate to the articles they’ve written. You may recognize some of them as Hosanna Revival staff, or authors of the printed devotionals we’ve published. You may recognize some of them from Instagram, or you may have never heard of them. Our goal is to create a platform to amplify these voices as they mine the Word, looking for the Scripture’s answers to life’s questions. We’re glad you’re here.

Malory is the publishing assistant and managing editor of WHEN at Hosanna Revival. She lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband, their son, and their dog—all three of whom she is totally obsessed with. She loves a good story, lots of sugar in her coffee, dancing, and book recommendations. She views herself as an extroverted-introvert. Malory is passionate about biblical literacy for women and is always trying to grow in her understanding of the Bible and God's character.

Megan and her husband (Delyn), along with their two little boys (Eli and Asher), reside in the greater Charlotte area. She works part time for a rising nonprofit, The Lantern Project, designed to train and empower companies and individuals to make a positive social impact in the fight against sex trafficking and sexual exploitation. She is passionate about encouraging/connecting women through vulnerability and creativity, and hopes that in sharing her heart she can draw others to the heart of the Father.

Meghan is a Cincinnatian turned Toledoan, a big advocate for therapy, a former fake blogger, and a current ICU nurse. She loves her people, her kitten, and writing about the things that are hard to talk about. Her biggest prayer is that her life and words turn people toward the light and love that is Jesus so that they know that hope and joy are possible through him.

Meshach Kanyion is a pastor at Friendship United Methodist Church in Wyoming, OH. He is married with 5 children. His life’s work is to study and integrate the life and teaching of Jesus into his own life, and help others do likewise.

Michelle Navarrete is a daughter of Mexican immigrants from the suburbs of Chicago, IL. She currently lives in the most diverse square mile of the US in Clarkston, GA and is a PhD student at Emory University studying the Hebrew Bible. She is passionate about bringing her community alongside her, and she wishes to more fully bridge the spaces of church and academy.

Mikella Van Dyke is a Bible teacher and runs the ministry Chasing Sacred. She is currently pursuing her M.A in theology.  In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing with her four kiddos, and traveling.

Morgan Johnston spends her days as a photographer and her evenings as an involved dog mom, yet her favorite roles are being a daughter, wife, and mother-to-be. You can often find her curled up on the couch with a good book and fuzzy blanket, spending time outside with her two dogs, or taking a stroll around the family ranch (she may or may not be guilty of providing all animals with daily treats). A newly established student of the Bible, she loves spending time in the Word and developing her relationship with Jesus through prayer and worship.

Ness Cannon is a writer, speaker, teacher, wife, mother, small business owner, designer, pug mom, perpetual student, and the author of I Am Not In Charge, published by Hosanna Revival. Her greatest hope is to remind you that you aren’t alone. God has saved a seat for you at his table and you absolutely belong.

Paige McBride is from western PA, living happily in a small town with her husband Brett and their first child on the way! She is a self-proclaimed Bible geek and a seminary student through Reformed Theological Seminary. She spends her days working part time in ministry at her local church as she teaches dance and creates wedding floral arrangements. She is a lover of all things Old Testament and discipleship. She is passionate about equipping women to engage with the Scriptures and passing along all the biblical wisdom that she has learned throughout her years in college and seminary education.
