Meet Our Authors

Meet the writers we’ve partnered with and click on their names to navigate to the articles they’ve written. You may recognize some of them as Hosanna Revival staff, or authors of the printed devotionals we’ve published. You may recognize some of them from Instagram, or you may have never heard of them. Our goal is to create a platform to amplify these voices as they mine the Word, looking for the Scripture’s answers to life’s questions. We’re glad you’re here.

Joshua serves as teaching pastor of Red Door, a church community planted in Cincinnati, OH. He is a passionate teacher, avid reader, and brilliant maker of blueberry pancakes. His wife, Tiffany, and daughters, Story and Emmy, are his joy and the ones his heart loves.

Joshua is also the author ofThe Story Circle, a devotional book from Hosanna Revival.

Julia is a former special education teacher turned to stay-at-home mom who is currently spending her days taking care of her son, Leon. Her passion for writing started at a young age and in her spare time, she can be seen drinking a chai latte, reading anything she can get her hands on, and traveling with her husband, Jake. She loves sushi, quiet mornings, and cuddles with her English Bulldog, Penelope.

Julie isan engaging learner and educator with a love for inspiring groups of all sizes to learn widely and grow deeply. Presenting content that is both fascinating and fun, she enjoys bringing life to a wide range of topics, from FDA regulations, to German beer brewing history, to the beauty of Scripture expounded across eras of the church to the intricacies of sweater knitting. She is currently studying at Denver Seminary for her M. A. in New Testament, though she remains based in her beloved Cincinnati to grow roots with her amazing friends, family and church.

Julie Cornelius-Huang is a mom of three who lives with her kids and husband in Utah. Raised in Vermont, she grew up richly immersed in the arts and the great outdoors. She works as a project manager for Sentient Art Academy, and of course, shepherding three crazy children. She enjoys singing, acting, writing and dog walking, and is currently learning to ride horses. She is immensely grateful for any opportunity to share what she has learned about God with anyone who will listen.

Kari Minter is a pastor’s wife, an author, and a Bible teacher who is passionate about  helping people cultivate a deeper walk with God. With over a decade of experience teaching in public schools and a Masters in Theological Studies, Kari is known for her deep theological insight delivered in a helpful and practical way. When she is not writing and teaching, you can find her supporting her three teenagers, planning outdoor adventures, or reading a good book.

Kate works as a school-based mental health therapist. She is passionate about helping the people she comes in contact with feel better by experiencing emotions in a way that brings glory to God. Kate loves her family, her dog, and getting coffee with friends.

Katherine is the wife of Seth and a homeschooling mother of two little ones. You can often find her reading a book, playing or teaching the piano, or baking another dessert. Her favorite teas are spicy and her favorite things are thrifted.

The thing she finds most beautiful is people using their gifts to glorify the Lord.

Katie Westenberg is a wife, mother to four, and author of I Choose Brave: Embracing Holy Courage and Understanding Godly Fear. She has a business degree from Washington State University, but her real business most days includes homeschooling her children, writing, and encouraging women in Biblical Truth, all to the glory of God.

Kayla Carthel is a dog mom, future counselor, lover of all iced coffees, and devoted daughter of God. You can typically find her twirling in flowy dresses, listening to true crime documentaries, belting the Hamilton soundtrack, and redecorating the house for the millionth time (much to the consternation of her husband).

Kelley Lee lives in New York City with her husband. After working in college ministry in the Northeast for a few years, she’s now pursuing a graduate degree in clinical psychology. She’s passionate about getting to know people, traveling and exploring new places, hospitality, seeking beautiful things and helping shine a little bit of light in dark places.

Kelly is a follower of Jesus, wife to Scott, mom of 5, keeper of plants, and lover of both stories and spreadsheets. She leads women’s discipleship at her local church in Hamilton, Ohio alongside some of her favorite people. Kelly’s natural curiosity makes her an eager learner, and she’s passionate about sharing the truth of the Scriptures with others. When she’s not working, studying biblical Hebrew, or volunteering for her kids’ school, you can probably find Kelly eating chips and watching reruns of Frasier.

Kelsie McCoy

Kelsie is into a little bit of everything, and it all started with her love for words. Her love of writing was inspired by Ann Voskamp and Anne Lamott and cherishing the words they share. Kelsie is a creator and maker at heart, which is why writing is such a love of hers—especially writing about the Lord and his creation. She also very much enjoys knitting, crocheting, embroidery, macrame, and watercolor. Someday she and her husband would love to have their own little homestead with sheep and chickens and a big, wonderful garden.

Kendall Grant | Hosanna Revival

Kendall is a stay-at-home mom living in the suburbs of West Chester, Ohio with her husband, Josh, and their baby girl, Charli. Kendall enjoys learning more about natural healing, blogging about topics she’s passionate about, and spending time with her family. Kendall has been married to Josh for fours years and is excited to continue growing their family, raising their children to know and love Jesus Christ.

Kristen is a recent college graduate who now works as a youth pastor in Chattanooga, TN. She is passionate about encouraging and teaching teens as well as young adults in their walk with Christ. She also enjoys writing and currently has an Instagram page called@l.e.t.s.b.e.r.e.a.ldedicated to sharing the things that God is teaching her in this new journey of faith in adulthood.

Lara d’Entremont is a wife and mom to three from Nova Scotia, Canada. Lara is a writer and learner at heart—always trying to find time to scribble down some words or read a book. Her desire in writing is to help women develop solid theology they can put into practice—in the mundane, the rugged terrain, and joyful moments.

Lauren Bowerman is a writer and a wife to Matthew. She has been privileged to call many cities, states, and countries home, and it is this nomadic lifestyle that cultivated in her a love for people, cultures, and missions. She has received her Masters in Christian and Intercultural Studies from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary. She is particularly passionate about writing on the intersection between suffering and faith, specifically in her experiences with depression, doubt, and infertility.

Leah Jolly is a theologian and writer with a Master of Divinity from Calvin Theological Seminary, where she is now pursuing a Master of Theology in Systematic Theology. Her writing has been featured by The Gospel Coalition, Hosanna Revival, andCore Christianity, covering Reformed theology, adoption, spiritual disciplines, and the application of Scripture to everyday life. Liesl is a daughter, sister, and friend who lives in Cape Town, South Africa. After completing her BA (Hons) in Linguistics, she started working in the magazine publishing industry. As an aficionado of antiquity, you’ll likely hear her geek out about the latest archaeological discoveries of the first century AD. When she’s not marveling at God’s grace and goodness, succumbing to her sweet tooth, or showing you her impressive collection of sea urchin shells, you’ll find her enjoying the beautiful Cape with her loved ones.

Madison Kisgen lives in Raleigh, North Carolina with her husband and daughter. After some surprise twists and turns in adulthood, Madison now spends her days writing about her good, good Savior, making pottery and trying to learn what it means to own a small business, and trying to be a good mama and disciple maker day by day.
